Last year, Black Lake hosted a paddling event that drew a coven donned in black and pointy hats on canoes and stand-up paddleboards to the center of the icy lake.

ILWACO, Wash. — Costumed paddlers with kayaks, canoes and stand-up paddleboards are invited to a Halloween event at noon Saturday on Black Lake.

The Witches, Warlocks and Wizards Paddle is back in Ilwaco for a second year. Dress as a witch, warlock or wizard and paddle the lake. Also on the roster are a poker run, costume contest, food, games and silent auction.
