Film screening, magic show planned at Astoria venues

ASTORIA — A screening of the movie “Practical Magic” at 8 p.m. Friday at the Liberty Theatre begins “The Magic of Astoria,” a weekend of performances across area venues.

Audiences are invited to dress in costume for the movie. The theater will also welcome vendors and offer a seasonal photo booth.

Beginning at 4 p.m. Saturday at Pier 39, magician Seth Howard and Triple Moon Belly Dance will perform during a metaphysical faire, offering more than 20 vendors.
