“Mind and Hand,” an exhibit at Clatsop Community College, draws attention to a transfer program.

ASTORIA — Clatsop Community College has partnered with the Pacific Northwest College of Art for an exhibit titled “Mind and Hand,” on view at the college’s Royal Nebeker Art Gallery.

More than 30 pieces by students, faculty, staff and alumni of the Pacific Northwest College of Art, an art school of Willamette University, will be displayed in celebration of Clatsop Community College’s transfer agreement with that college.

Students who transfer from Clatsop Community College to the Pacific Northwest College of Art with sufficient credits can receive a $5,000 transfer scholarship, as well as additional merit scholarship funding, as part of the agreement.

A reception for “Mind and Hand,” which includes paintings, designs, sculptures and performance works, will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday. For more information about the event and exhibit, visit www.clatsopcc.edu.
