October at Seaside galleries: Driftwood art, mosaics on view

SEASIDE — Explore the historic Gilbert District during the Seaside Art Walk, a monthly event that offers the chance to stroll around town from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday with refreshments, prizes, music and art.

Fairweather House and Gallery, 612 Broadway St.

This location will open a new exhibit, titled “Lost and Found,” featuring art by Barbara Bacon Folawn, Martin Conley, Jo Pomeroy-Crockett, JR Moyer, Vanessa K. Stokes and Peg Wells.

A reception for the exhibit will be hosted during the event. On view will be driftwood sculptures, antler lighting and shell-encrusted art pieces, combined with poetic installations of unearthed materials.

Fairweather House and Gallery will also offer a live painting demonstration by Paul Brent and artist talks.

Pacific Heirloom Art and Collectables, 608 Broadway St.

This location will feature a signed and numbered whale print by artist Kolene Spicher.

SunRose Gallery, 606 Broadway St.

At this gallery, find stained glass mosaics by Anna Meyrick, driftwood decor by Jennifer Rall and quilted paintings by Ronni Harris. Light appetizers will be served. Accompanying the art will be music from the Beat Greens.

The Whet Spot, 12 N. Holladay Drive

This location will display art by Bill Brock, in addition to offering Northwest-named beer, wine and cider.
