ASTORIA — The latest installment of Jazz on the River, an event organized by the Astoria Jazz Festival, will feature the Brent Jensen Quartet at 6 p.m. Friday in the Liberty Theatre McTavish Room.

Raised in Boise, Idaho, Jensen studied with jazz saxophonist and composer Lee Konitz and has performed extensively. He will be joined by Jamie Findlay on guitar, Heather Chriscaden on bass and Steve Tate on drums.

Also appearing during the show will be vocalist Minntah Haefker, who will accompany the quartet. Guests will enjoy dessert prepared by Aleesha Serrita Nedd, of Naked Lemon Bakery in Astoria. Guests will have the option of pumpkin caramel cheesecake or pumpkin caramel cake.
