Old Growth Band plays among forest and sea at Cape Disappointment

ILWACO, Wash. — Old Growth Band, rooted in traditions of Hawaiian and Americana music, is the latest group to play at Waikiki Beach as part of a summer concert series at Cape Disappointment State Park. The free show begins at 7 p.m. Saturday.

The four-member group formed in 2000 and is named for its “old-growth” members from Clatsop and Pacific counties. They continue to create music inspired by the ocean and forest.
