Flower arranging, botanical dye workshops offered at Hoffman Center

MANZANITA — Workshops in printmaking with botanical dyes and Asian flower arranging techniques will join the roster of creative offerings at Hoffman Center for the Arts this week.

Thang Ngo is leading a series of five workshops on Asian floral design, including a concentration on upright flower arrangement at 5 p.m. Friday. Cost for this workshop is $35 and includes workshop tools and take-home flowers.

At 10:30 a.m. Friday, learn about how to extract colors and textures of nature in printmaking, using fresh leaves and plant dyes. Participants will have the chance to create several pieces in this five-hour workshop. This class costs $160, including all materials.
