CANNON BEACH — The Cannon Beach History Center & Museum will welcome climate scientist Paul Loikith for a presentation focused on the science of coastal storms at 4 p.m. Thursday.

Loikith, a professor of weather and climate science and the director of the Portland State University Climate Science Lab, will focus on the elements and causes of extreme weather and how they are represented in climate models.

This event, offered by donation, will be held as part of a collaborative lecture series. Seating will be limited to 50. For more information, visit www.cbhistory.org.
