Lecture to commemorate International Women’s Day at library

- Hear author LaRee Johnson at the Astoria Library for a lecture commemorating International Women’s Day.
ASTORIA — Guest speaker LaRee Johnson will give a lecture on fashion prior to the ratification of the 19th Amendment from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at the Astoria Library.
“Fashion Before Freedom” will tie in history of the early suffrage movement to Victorian clothing styles, commemorating International Women’s Day.
