LONG BEACH PENINSULA — Birders and podcast hosts Hannah Buschert and Erik Ostrander will host a presentation at Salt Hotel & Pub at 6:30 p.m. Friday, focusing on how community members can help local birds to overcome challenges.

The following morning, the pair will lead a 9 a.m. hike at South Bay Trail in Long Beach, listening for birds and enjoying views of Willapa Bay.
