ASTORIA — Make Music Winter, a celebration for musicians of all experience levels, will be held from 1 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Ten Fifteen Theater.

Coinciding with the winter solstice, this event coincides with Make Music Day happenings held across the United States. Last year, more than 35 cities organized events commemorating the day.

This event, organized by the Arts Council of Clatsop County, will feature songs in both Spanish and English, including maritime music, percussion, instrument making, a ukulele jam and, at the evening’s end, a parade with bells ringing along Astoria’s Commercial Street.

This event is free and open to the public. For more information, visit www.clatsopcountyartscouncil.com.
