ASTORIA – “There’s something special here, on the edge of the continent, where the Columbia meets the sea,” wrote Sam Blair, whose collection of photographs “Faces of Astoria” will be shown at LightBox Photographic Gallery beginning Saturday.

“Part of it is location, part is architecture, part is history and a large part has always been the fascinating people who call it home,” he continued. The collection focuses on people who make up the character of the town and region.
