ILWACO, Wash. – A boating safety course will be offered by the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 62, from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday at the Ilwaco Fire Station.

The course will explore challenges faced by boaters crossing the Columbia, Grays Harbor and Tillamook Bars during fishing season, including tides, currents, nautical charts, bar reports, distress calls and protocols.
