A stained glass window demonstrates the use of color and pattern.

MANZANITA – A weekend course led by artist Chuck Winkelman will focus on the craft of stained glass, covering tools, designs, layouts and glass cutting from a garage workshop across Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Sponsored by Hoffman Center for the Arts, the workshop, limited to eight students, will focus on the creation of a small window of stained glass. Most materials will be provided at the session. Students are asked to bring a paintbrush, pencil and ruler.
