Seaside art for June: Sea creatures, mosaics, an art hotel

SEASIDE – The First Saturday Art Walk will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday in the Historic Gilbert District between Broadway and Holladay in downtown Seaside with dedicated parking nearby.

Fairweather House and Gallery, 612 Broadway St.

Showing new works from regional artists Sandy Viisse, Dorota Haber-Lehigh, Emily Miller, Gretha Lindwood, Jo Ann Pari-Mueller, Martha Lee and Jan Rimerman. The gallery will host artist talks at 5:30 p.m., followed by a lecture from biologist, naturalist and photographer Neal Maine.

Salon on Broadway, 600 Broadway St.

Featuring the artwork of owner, stylist and artist Kegan French.

SunRose Gallery, 606 Broadway St.

Featuring mosaics by Anna Meyrick Kirkpatrick, Charlotte Bruhn and Kath Jones, as well as upcycled art by Jan Barber, Patty Thurlby, Mari Walker, Robin Montero, Lauda Gilman and Cathy Tippin. The gallery will also present live music by David Crabtree and Ray Coffey.

Featuring handmade art glass showing creatures in the sea.

Featuring original art and prints from a curated selection of Portland artists.
