LONG BEACH, Wash. — Aspiring writers are invited to register for the 2022 Winter Writers’ Symposium on March 5 at the Chautauqua Resort and Conference Center.
Organized by Harbor House Writers, the gathering “has something to offer all budding and beginner writers and authors — even for writers who’ve been at it for a while and are wondering about new tricks to get more done and sell more books,” said Gregory E. Zschomler, novelist and playwright of works such as the Bayou Boys series for young readers. Zschomler, who used to own Harbor Books in Aberdeen, serves as CEO of Harbor House Writers and Eyrie Press publishers. He will speak on publishing options.
Other speakers will include author, poet and retired teacher Jan Bono of Long Beach, and Maggie Lynch, who pens fiction in various genres as well as publications to assist other writers.
The conference runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. with breakfast included. It will open with a concert by Pacific Northwest singer-songwriter Amanda Ransom. Early registration is $69. After Tuesday, the cost is $99.
