Astoria Art Loft introduces fall calligraphy classes

ASTORIA — The Astoria Art Loft is launching a fall calligraphy class series beginning Oct. 30.

The class, taught by Mary K. Barendse-Adams, will help participants learn uppercase and lowercase letters, as well as numbers in a form that can be extended to more intricate and complicated styles.

The four-session class costs $50 and will take place from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Oct. 30 and Nov. 6, 13 and 20.
