KNAPPTON COVE, Wash. – More than a century ago, William Clark described a “horriable” day on the North Coast. This is a free event, though donations are welcomed.

Remember the day at the annual tribute to the Lewis and Clark Expedition at “O! How Horriable is the Day” event happening from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9 at the Historic U.S. Quarantine Station Museum, 3 miles upriver from the Astoria-Megler Bridge on Hwy 401.

Hot cider and lessons in history will be served, rain or shine.
