CANNON BEACH — The next “World of Haystack Rock” lecture features Joe Liebezeit. His presentation, “Oregon’s Black Oystercatchers: Unveiling its mysteries to help protect a species of conservation concern,” takes place 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 10, at the Cannon Beach Library.
The event is sponsored by the library and Friends of Haystack Rock.
Liebezeit has worked for the Audubon Society of Portland since 2013, managing their community science science projects and state-wide conservation efforts that include Portland Audubon’s Coastal Conservation Program.
The series’ final talk, on Wednesday, May 8, features Katie Voelke, executive director of the North Coast Land Conservancy, who will discuss public access on conservation land.
