Musical group Josephine County performs Irish and folk music.

ASTORIA — Josephine County, a band that performs traditional music from Ireland, Appalachia, French Canada and beyond, comes to the Liberty Theatre at 7 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 9.

Erica Brown, Matt Shipman, Hanz Araki and Colleen Raney create an exceptional musical experience. The February tour introduces Josephine County to the Pacific Northwest, promising a journey through the homegrown and immigrant roots of traditional music.

The group recently released their first album, “East to the West,” which features gorgeous four-part harmonies, dynamic instrumentals and a strong commitment to the traditions that brought them together.
