ASTORIA — Explore Astoria’s mysterious side during a twilight tour and talk at the Astoria Library, 450 10th St. At 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, author Jeff Davis will lead a walking tour of haunted locations in downtown Astoria — registration is limited.

Starting at 6:30 p.m., he will read from his book, “Haunted Astoria” — everyone is welcome. Admission to both events is free. Contact the library at 503-325-7323 to sign up for the tour.

The hour-long tour will depart from the library and proceed in a loop through downtown. Davis will share tales about the paranormal history of the Flavel House, the Norblad Hotel and other familiar sites. Tourgoers should prepare for exposure to the weather and stretches of slightly steep walking.

Davis will discuss the process of researching and writing a ghost book. He will also talk about the role he and other Northwest ghost hunters played in the “Ghost Adventures” miniseries, which recently visited Astoria.
