ASTORIA — Dots ’N Doodles Art Supplies — partnering with Royal Talens (a Dutch art materials manufacturer) and the Astoria Art Loft — will host a two-day event Saturday and Sunday, July 28 and 29.

Dots ’N Doodles will have several free product demos, open to the public, on both days.

In addition, there will be two paid events: one at 4 p.m., the other at 7 p.m. Saturday, July 28.

Join Tiffanie Mang and Charlene Mosely for a painting class at Dots ’N Doodles’ “Colors Of Holland” event at 4 p.m. Saturday. Learn how to paint in the style of Vincent Van Gogh from two professional artists who worked on the Academy Award-nominated film “Loving Vincent.” All supplies will be provided and is included in the class fee.

Then, at 7 p.m., we will show “Loving Vincent.” The two artists will be present for a Q-and-A.

“Loving Vincent” is the world’s first fully hand-painted feature film entirely painted in oils. The film, composed of more than 65,000 paintings, portrays the life of Van Gogh and the rumors surrounding his mysterious death.

The events are held at the Astoria Art Loft, and Dots ’N Doodles (located downstairs) is providing refreshments as well.

Reservations are required for the two paid events. The fee is $25 per event, or $40 for people who sign up for both. Call 503-325-5081 to hold a spot.

Dots ’N Doodles is located at 303 Marine Drive.
