MANZANITA — From 2 to 5 p.m. every Friday and Saturday, from June 1 through 30, the Hoffman Center Art Gallery presents “The Beauty in Every Day,” watercolors by Carolyn Gates.

Whether we are seeing the expanse of the landscape or a closeup view of a native flower, these paintings will help us to remember how fortunate we are to be surrounded by beauty every day.

In addition, the gallery is featuring:

• “Line and Form: A Journey in Clay,” ceramic sculptures by L. Levering Thomas

• “Colors in Love,” acrylics by Chuck Carlson

• “Ikebana Pottery,” a group show

An opening reception will be held 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, June 2. Refreshments will be served. The public is invited, and the gallery is always free.

Gallery sales support this not-for-profit community art center. The gallery is a program of the not-for-profit Hoffman Center for the Arts at 594 Laneda Ave.

Gates is also teaching a two-day watercolor workshop Friday and Saturday, June 15 and 16. See the Hoffman website for more information and to sign up: hoffmanarts.org/events/watercolor-florals/
