Astoria holds service fair

ASTORIA The public is invited to a City of Astoria Service Fair from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 18.

The fair is a chance for citizens to meet city officials, employees and volunteers. Each department will have a booth with information; find out whats happening in city departments through displays and demonstrations. There will also be big construction equipment, police cars and fire trucks on site for visitors to see up close.

The city did the first service fair in 2008, and Astoria City Council has set this as one of its goals for Fiscal Year 2014-15.

The fair will take place at the Astoria Aquatic Center parking lot, located at 1997 Marine Drive.
