ASTORIA The Columbia River Maritime Museum and 3D Entertainment Distribution presents “Sea Rex: Journey to a Prehistoric World,” an extraordinary voyage across the sea of time that examines both the existence and importance of marine reptiles during the Mesozoic era.
The new film opens at the museum Saturday, March 22.
Viewers will magically travel from a modern-day aquarium to the Triassic, Jurassic and Cretaceous periods. They will explore an amazing underwater universe inhabited by larger-than-life creatures: including the powerful Liopleurodon, the long-necked Elasmosaurus, the ferocious Mosasaur and the gigantic 75-foot-long Shonisaurus, the largest marine reptile ever known _ which were ruling the seas before dinosaurs conquered the earth.
The show plays daily every hour starting at 10 a.m. with the last show at 4 p.m. Tickets are $5 each, not included with museum admission. Members are free. The museum is located at 1792 Marine Drive in Astoria.
