Learn how to build a bug-out bag in Long Beach

LONG BEACH, Wash. – The Long Beach Grange will hold a free workshop, “How to Build a 72-hour Survival Kit on a Shoestring Budget,” Saturday, April 28. Doors open at 5 p.m. The presentation starts at 6 p.m. and runs until 8 p.m.

Jackie Sheldon will present this workshop about how to prepare a 72-hour survival kit – or BOB (Bug-Out Bag) – on a shoestring budget. Trained by Washington State Emergency Management as a tsunami trainer, Sheldon will demonstrate how to make survival kits from items found around the house and how to customize kits to individual needs. She will also discuss basic survival skills and ways to increase the basic survival needs of shelter, water, fire and food, along with ways to attract help.
