Ed Goldfarb returns to Sunday Afternoon Live

RAYMOND, Wash. – California-based Ed Goldfarb first appeared at the historic Raymond Theatre in November 2009 as accompanist for the soprano act, Bella Sorella. At that performance, he was the first artist to perform before a Willapa Harbor audience on the theater’s recently-installed Boardman and Gray grand piano.

The gifted composer, music director and pianist now returns to the theater as a soloist at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6, with his interpretations of “The History of Piano Music.”

A graduate of the University of California at Berkeley, Goldfarb has been a figure on the San Francisco music scene for more than 20 years. He has been winning awards as a pianist since the age of six, and his compositions and arrangements have been performed all over the world. For more than a decade, he was co-writer and music director of San Francisco’s “Beach Blanket Babylon,” the longest-running musical review in musical history.

Currently, Goldfarb composes and records music at his studio, teaches original music business curriculum at Foothill College in Los Altos, Calif., and is music director and choirmaster at Community United Methodist Church in Fairfield, Calif.
