SEASIDE – Spotlight Dance Cup 2011 Pacific Northwest national competition will be held from July 11 through 14, at the Seaside Convention Center, 415 First Ave. Participants of all ages from all over the nation will have the opportunity to compete for thousands of dollars in cash, scholarships, trophies and prizes.

Since its founding in 1995, Spotlight Events has earned the respect of the business and dance community and has grown to become a leader in the dance competition industry. This season more than 18,000 individual dancers performed to audiences at 32 events throughout the West and Midwest.

Admission is free. Competition will run from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, July 11; 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 12; and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, July 13. The championship finals, where the top four finalists from the national competition will compete for placement, will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, July 14. The Championship Extravaganza and National Awards ceremony will begin at 5:30 and finish at about 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
