CANNON BEACH – The Wine Bar at Sweet Basil’s Cafe will host singer Sharon Gillenwater during a special dinner event, “Love is in the Air: A Valentine’s Celebration,” from 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 12. Enjoy dinner by candlelight with a romantic performance at either 6 or 7:45 p.m. Space is limited and reservations are required, and the venue is for ages 21 and older.

Northwest native Gillenwater is a classically trained vocalist who sings many love songs in Italian and French, and who has a background in choral and sacred music, musicals and light opera. She has had a career in music education, including teaching arts and communications at the Magnet Academy in Beaverton. She has performed at Portland’s Museum After Hours and The Old Church, numerous Italian festivals, Oregon Symphony Gala Event, the Heathman Hotel, Vine Leaves and more. Gillenwater will be accompanied by keyboardist Justin Franzino of Portland.
