CANNON BEACH – Lauren Kinhan will present an original program at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 23, at the Coaster Theatre, 108 N. Hemlock St.

A member of the Grammy winning vocal jazz group New York Voices, Kinhan’s exciting and rich songbook is influenced by Brazilian jazz, swing, blues, folk and classical. Kinhan will be accompanied by Peter Eldridge, a fellow member of the New York Voices, on piano, along with Portland musicians Scott Steed on bass and Todd Strait on drums.
Opening the evening will be Cannon Beach’s own young musical talents, Evan and Lake Jiroudek (18 and 16 years old respectively). They are both musicians in the American Music Program, a nationally recognized leader in youth education of the great American art form – jazz. Evan (drums) and Lake (guitar) will be joined by mentor and teacher John Stowell, famed jazz guitarist.
