AUDITIONS SET FOR NEXT TILLAMOOK THEATER PRODUCTION

TILLAMOOK – Tillamook Association for the Performing Arts will be holding auditions for Jeffrey Hatcher’s play “Scotland Road,” directed by Bill Farnum. The auditions will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 17, and Saturday, July 18, and 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 19, at The Barn Community Playhouse at 12th Street and Ivy Avenue. “Scotland Road” will be performed in September.

“Scotland Road” is about a woman found floating on an iceberg in the last decade of the 20th century, who seems to be a survivor of the Titanic disaster of 1914. Is she perpetrating a hoax? Is she a miracle? Is she a ghost? A doctor and a Titanic disaster specialist work together to find the answers.

Characters needed are John, an expert on the disaster (25 to 40 years); Halbrech, the doctor caring for Winifred (25 to 50 years); Winifred, the woman found on the iceberg (18 to 30 years); and Frances, a woman who is a survivor of the disaster (60 to 80 years).

There will be a cold reading from the script. For information, call Farnum at (503) 548-7428.
