SEASIDE – The 43rd annual Seaside Beach Run’s new organizers, Sunset Family Fitness, have announced the agenda for the event. Deadline for registration is Friday, July 24, and the event will be held Sunday, July 26. Entry fees range from free (kid’s dash) to $30. The course will begin and end at 12th Avenue at the North Prom beach access, and the entire event will be held on the beach to avoid traffic safety concerns, as well as simply enjoy the beach. The events will start with the Prom Walk at 8:45 a.m. and the races start at 9 a.m.
Participants are welcome to bring a four-legged running or walking buddy with them on race day, but be sure to follow all pet laws and ordinances.
Participants can pick up registration forms from any of the event sponsors or can register online at www.active.com using the event search term “Seaside Beach Run.” Major sponsors include CalComm Stations LLC (Music Matters 94.9 and 840 AM Gold), the Law Offices of Campbell and Popkin in Seaside, Halo Electric in Seaside, the Seaside Pet Clinic and the Seaside Aquarium. Other sponsors include the FosterClub of Seaside “All Stars,” a team of foster care alumni who train, educate and mentor younger foster children, and who will also be supporting this year’s Beach Run by providing unique “youth-powered” transportation between the event site and the awards picnic; Western Oregon Waste, which will provide trash and recycling receptacles; and Cleanline Surf Shop.
Sponsorships may still be available; call Sunset Family Fitness at (503) 738-8304. More information for participants, sponsors, supporters and fans is also available at www.sunsetfamilyfitness.com
