OLD TOWN FRAMING COMPANY
Old Town Framing Company will present the photography of Paul Titus, with an artist reception from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, during Astoria’s Second Saturday Art Walk.
Titus has taken photographs his whole life, but after retirement he got into it full-time. “He snaps anything that interests him,” said Old Town’s Dulcye Taylor, “but truly captures the Pacific Northwest with his complex compositions and subtle colors. Many of the pieces for this show represent imagery from the North and South Coasts. Those who have seen his work are dazzled by his shots of water and the painterly light that he captures.”
Titus is a resident of Warrenton, which may explain his many shots of the Peter Iredale shipwreck in all exposures and times of day. He is also a big fan of Cannon Beach and the swirling water around the rocks.
Taylor invites Art Walkers to stop by Old Town Framing to meet Titus or even just peek in the window to view his work. His photography will be shown through February. Refreshments by Anna will be served during the reception.
Maps to Art Walk locations are available at most participating galleries and businesses. Old Town Framing Company is located 1287 Commercial St. For more information, call (503) 325-5221.
