SEASIDE – Fall gardening classes are starting at Dennis’ 7 Dees/Raintree Nursery. All classes are from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturdays, are free of charge and include surprises and door prizes.

NATURAL PEST AND WEED CONTROL – Sept. 6: KEX radio personality Dave Etchepare, also known as the Garden Doctor, will be on hand to talk about natural pest, weed and disease control. Be sure to bring questions.

DEER RESISTANT GARDENING – Sept. 13: Karen Hurd really knows her herds. She will be sharing tried and true deer resistant plants and strategies.

BONSAI – Sept. 20: Aaron Olson will help you understand fall and winter care of your precious little trees. Bring questions and bonsais.

GARDENING WITH BULBS – Sept. 27: Ed Hobbs of Simple Pleasures will help make sure your spring bulbs are successful, even if you have deer and rabbits.

ORGANIC FERTILIZERS – Oct. 4: H.R. Radtke of Kellogg Supply will discuss the improved value of using organic fertilizers and soil to make the prettiest and healthiest gardens with the least amount of work.

CREATIVE CURB APPEAL – Oct. 11: The store’s Planscape designer has an eye for detailed interest and will share the ins and outs of curb appeal.

FALL CONTAINER PLANTINGS – Oct. 18: Skagit Gardens’ Terri Walsh will drop by to show off new and innovative fall container planting for season long enjoyment.
