CATHLAMET, Wash. – The Columbia River Brass Quintet will be on stage at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, July 14, at Cathlamet Pioneer Church. The quintet will offer both classical and jazz pieces, ranging from Mozart to Debussy to Fats Waller.

The quintet was founded in 2006 but the members are not new to music. Trumpeters Bruce Dunn and Scott Winks are joined by Allan Stromquist on French horn, Tyler Benedict on tuba and David Conditt on trombone. From stages in the Pacific Northwest to Idaho, Chicago and New York, members of the group have been featured soloists, played in ensembles and held principal positions in orchestras.

Tickets are $12.50 for adults and $8 for youth younger than 12. Advance tickets are available at The Golden Ladder or by e-mail at pca1896@hotmail.com. If still available, tickets may be purchased at the door the night of the performance.

The concert is sponsored by the Pioneer Community Association of Cathlamet. For more information, call Paula Carlson at (360) 849-4000.
