Sip and stroll through Seaside’s downtown

SEASIDE – The Seaside Downtown Development Association presents the inaugural Seaside Downtown Wine Walk, showcasing Oregon wineries and downtown businesses, from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 14.

Wineries and businesses will pair to offer complimentary appetizers and wine tastes for a nominal fee. Aside from the tastes, enjoy a variety of live music as you stroll down the streets.

Local performers Dave Quinton and Gary Keiski will entertain walkers with their acoustic swing sound at Salmonberry Square, 810 Broadway, from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Both musicians have entertained locals for more than 25 years. Quinton is known for his guitar and bass work with the Muddy Bottom Boys, while Keiski and his violin appear regularly with the Cannon Beach-based group, Floating Glass Balls.

The following wineries are participating in the event: Rex Hill, Nehalem Bay Winery, Temptress Wines, Hip Chicks do Wine, Duck Pond Cellars, Namaste Vineyards, Champagne Creek Cellars, Territorial Vineyards, Anne Amie Winery, Mia Sonatina Cellars, Secret House Winery, Silver Falls Winery, Bear Creek Cellars, Flying Dutchman Winery and Silvan Ridge-Hinman Vineyards. A complete list of wineries and businesses will be available the evening of the event at the three check-in locations.

A commemorative event wine glass ($5) and ID bracelet will be required for wine tasting. Participants must be 21 or older. Wine glass sales and ID check stations open at 3 p.m. at Montero Sisters Fabrics (130 S. Holladay Drive), Salmonberry Square (810 Broadway) and Ter Har’s (27 Broadway).
