LONG BEACH, Wash. Calico is an all-female Americana guitar-slinging trio. Manda Mosher, Kristen Proffit and Aubrey Richmond forge skillful vocal arrangements, employing alternating lead vocals and multi-part harmonies. Among them, they play banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar and harmonica and represent GRETSCH Guitars roots instrument line.

The trio will perform at 8 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, May 5, 6 and 7 at the Adrift Hotel, 409 Sid Snyder Drive.

Formed in 2012, the band is reminiscent of an earthier Dixie Chicks mixed with Crosby, Stills and Nash. Calicos extensive touring earned the band National Touring Artist Of the Year from the Los Angeles Music Awards in 2013.

The band recently completed a self-titled eight-song EP. Calico has also released a single, Beautiful Lie, which was played on the hit ABC TV show Nashville. The band will be releasing a full-length recording in August.
