Clatsop Community College art faculty and invited artists are collaborating on the 2025 Faculty Plus Show, on display at the college’s Royal Nebeker Art Gallery through May 2.
A public reception is planned for 6 p.m. April 17. The reception and exhibit, which features drawing, painting, printmaking, ceramics and photography, are free and open to the public.
Faculty featured are Ben Rosenberg, David Homer, Kristin Shauck, Brad Menninga and Richard Rowland. “Lørdag Kveld,” a large-scale painting by Royal Nebeker, a longtime instructor who died in 2014, will be displayed with work by Portland-based ceramicist Natalie Warrens, biology instructor and photographer Nicole Warwick, and paper and light sculptor Lâm Quảng.
From Quảng, who is also serving as juror for the 2025 annual college art student show, the exhibit will feature a collaborative sculptural installation marking the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War.
Shauck will present a gallery talk at 7 p.m. April 22, sharing insights from her recent experience at the L’Expressoir Residency in Marnay-sur-Seine, France.
The gallery on Lexington Avenue in Astoria is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays, and on weekends and holidays by appointment only. For information, contact Shauck at 503-338-2472 or visit www.clatsopcc.edu.
