ASTORIA — “A Little Night Music” is the theme of the North Coast Symphonic Band’s latest concert at the Liberty Theatre, with a montage of evening themes and songs striking up at 2 p.m. Feb. 2.
According to conductor Terry Dahlgren, selections will range from Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart’s ‘Eine kleine Nachtmusik” to Van Morrison’s “Moondance.”
“Be prepared to dance the mambo in ‘Havana Nights’ or take in the movie music of Danny Elfman in ‘Music for a Darkened Theatre,’” Dahlgren said in a press release.
The concert will feature Dinah Urell as a soloist, performing “I Dreamed a Dream” from “Les Misérables.” Doors open at 1 p.m. and the Pacific Winds Quintet will provide prelude music starting at 1:30 p.m.
The band encourages audiences to purchase admission tickets in advance for $15 at the Liberty Theatre Box Office from 2 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays or online at www.libertyastoria.org.
Tickets purchased the day of the concert are $20. High school students are admitted free. Admission for middle school students and younger is free with an adult.
