ASTORIA — The North Coast Chorale is recruiting singers for its upcoming spring season, with rehearsals beginning at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 14.
For more than 30 years, the Astoria-based music group has dedicated itself to a sense of community, promoting choral literature and diversity in its music and performances.
While not linked to any faith tradition, choral music is often ecclesiastical. The group’s upcoming project for Spring 2025 is titled “The Old and The New,” featuring music based on the Old and New Testaments of The Bible.
Singers over 18 years old with an interest in choral music are invited to try out for the season. The Chorale is led by musical director Vincent Centeno and a volunteer board of directors.
Dues are $30 per month, and rehearsals are at 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays at the Charlene Larsen Center for the Performing Arts. For more about the Chorale, visit www.northcoastchorale.org.
