‘Cows’ exhibit coming to Skamokawa

SKAMOKAWA, Wash. — “Till the Cows Come Home,” a historic exhibit on the Skamokawa Creamery Farmers Association, opens Saturday at the River Life Interpretive Center.
The exhibit will feature vintage creamery items, information and historic photos from between 1898 and 1942. Little Island Creamery, from Cathlamet, will have images displayed by photographer Rene Westbrook.
An opening celebration with refreshments and cheese samples will be held between 1 and 3 p.m. Saturday. The exhibit, which is being organized by the Friends of Skamokawa, will be open between noon and 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays through Aug. 31.
The River Life Interpretive Center is housed in an 1894 schoolhouse and hosts events and exhibits throughout the year. Tours are available by appointment. For more about the center and exhibit, visit www.friendsofskamokawa.org.
