Pacific Coast Running Festival sets off from Long Beach Arch

LONG BEACH, Wash. — The Pacific Coast Running Festival will return for a fourth year on Saturday and Sunday, with a roster that includes a 5K, 10K and half-marathon as well as several events for bicyclists.

The event sets off at noon Friday with the Tour de Pacific, a non-competitive bike tour that covers part of the festival’s half-marathon route, ending in Ilwaco and timed for the opening of the Ilwaco Saturday Market. At 6 p.m. Friday, a 5K run and walk will set off along the shoreline for sunset views.

Starting at 7:15 a.m. Saturday, the half-marathon begins and ends at the Long Beach Arch. The event’s 10K and 5K races, beginning at 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m., will follow the same route.

Also offered are 1/2-mile and 1-mile dashes for kids, beginning at 8:15 a.m. Registration cost varies by event, between $22 for the kids’ dash and $102 for the half marathon. For more details and to register, visit www.bikesignup.com/race/wa/longbeach/pacificcoastrunningfestival.
