Acoustic tunes, Irish fiddle concert set for Peninsula Arts Center

LONG BEACH — Two concerts are scheduled at Peninsula Arts Center this week.
The Sun City Players will perform an acoustic set at 4 p.m. Saturday, followed by fiddle player Kevin Burke at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
The Sun City Players are Al Carness and Laura Caldwell, who have been performing together since 2010.
Burke has played traditional Irish fiddle music for decades and has been honored with a National Heritage Fellowship.
He performs solo and accompanied and has played alongside Arlo Guthrie, Christy Moore, the Bothy Band and others.
Tickets are $20 for the Saturday show and $25 for the Wednesday show. Doors open at 3:30 p.m., seating will be limited to 34 people.
