Cloud and Leaf Bookstore in Manzanita will host an event to mark 20 years this weekend.

MANZANITA — Cloud and Leaf Bookstore will raise a glass to the printed word with a free event at 2 p.m. Saturday, offering cake and champagne to celebrate the bookstore’s 20th anniversary.

Northwest authors Rene Denfeld, Anna Quinn, Liz Prato and Carlos Reyes will sign books at the event, accompanied by music from local band StayTuned Manzanita and catering from Offshore Grill & Coffee House.

As the store marks two decades in March, Holly Lorincz, the bookstore’s owner, wants to celebrate authors, readers and protectors of the printed word “who’ve had to don their flame-resistant cardigans and stand strong in a time when we should be way past intolerance of the unknown.”

The event is supported in part by a Tillamook Coast Visitors Association grant and will be held under a large commercial tent in front of the bookstore. For more details, visit www.cloud-leaf-bookstore.square.site.
