The latest installment of the Nature Matters speaker series will feature the North Coast Land Conservancy.

ASTORIA — Two speakers from the North Coast Land Conservancy will celebrate life where ocean and forest meet among sea cliffs at a 7 p.m. talk at the Fort George Brewery Lovell Showroom on Feb. 22.

Katie Voelke, the conservancy’s executive director, and Angela Whitlock, a marine coordinator, will speak on local conservation efforts aimed at coastal prairies, wetlands, mountains and intertidal zones. Voelke and Whitlock draw on a lifelong love of the outdoors in their work.

Doors open at 6 p.m. for this free event, which is part of Nature Matters, a seasonal speaker series hosted by Fort George in collaboration with Lewis and Clark National Historical Park and the North Coast Watershed Association, and for this event, the North Coast Land Conservancy.
