ASTORIA — Celebrate the new year with local jazz. Bridgewater Bistro presents live jazz this New Year’s Eve by Equinox Plus. Music begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Bridgewater Bistro, 20 Basin St., Suite A.

Equinox is a jazz trio comprised of guitarist David Drury, bassists Todd Pederson and flutist Shelley Loring Barker. Each member has a broad range of musical experience and together they bridge the gaps between several musical styles seamlessly and with virtuosity.

They take their audiences on a musical tour that personifies modern, standard and contemporary jazz.

On Tuesday, they will be appearing as Equinox Plus and feature drummer Ken Kirby and a special set featuring vocalist Aleesha Nedd.
