Returning for the holiday season, “A Coastal Christmas,” the accordion-fold “paperback” that doubles as a decoration, is on shelves throughout the Columbia-Pacific region.

A charming retelling of “The Night Before Christmas,” replete with local flair, Long Beach Peninsula writer Lynette Rae McAdams and Astoria artist Sally Lackaff will read aloud at three upcoming events.

Join them at 4 p.m., Saturday at the Crab Pot Christmas Tree Lighting in Ilwaco, Wash., or at 2 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 14, at the Columbia Pacific Heritage Museum’s annual Tuba Christmas.

Then, from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, the duo will sign copies at the artisan boutique, Forsythēa, 1124 Commercial St., during Astoria’s Second Saturday Art Walk.

“A Coastal Christmas” can be found at the following retail establishments: Oysterville Sea Farms, Bay Avenue Gallery (Ocean Park), NIVA (Long Beach), Columbia-Pacific Heritage Museum (Ilwaco), Time Enough Books (Ilwaco), Astoria Co-op, Forsythea (Astoria), Columbia River Maritime Museum (Astoria), Beach Books (Seaside) and the Cannon Beach Book Company.
