ASTORIA — Philosofarian’s next Wit & Wisdom Philosophy Talk, “Should We Play More?” with Gad Perez, takes place at 7 p.m. Thursday, March 28, at Fort George Brewery’s Lovell Showroom.

We play in order to take a break, to have some fun or because we’re bored.

Moreover, play is important in its own right, too. It is crucial to the creative process, can open us to new possibilities and discoveries, and even help us achieve things that wouldn’t have been possible if we hadn’t taken the time to be playful.

But what are these things that are opened up? Does play have a dark side?
