- Daymark, a trio that plays traditional Irish music.
ASTORIA — Daymark with Eric McDonald will present a concert to benefit the Performing Arts Center at 7 p.m. Friday, March 8. Tickets are $15 and available on Brown Paper Tickets (supportthepac.brownpapertickets.com/).
Daymark is an international trio that performs traditional Irish music. Fusing the talents of Will Woodson (flute, uilleann pipes), Dan Foster (fiddle) and Eric McDonald (guitar, vocals), the group presents a classic blend of wind and string as driving flute meets virtuosic fiddle, underpinned by expertly delivered guitar.
Each member of the trio had carved their musical pathways and style from study, travels and performances in Ireland, Scotland, England, America and Canada before meeting at the Northern Roots Festival in Vermont in 2016.
