WARRENTON — New contemporary dance company is holding open auditions at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at 737 East Harbor Drive.

The company will cast three age groups: tweens, teens and young adults. There are opportunities for beginning, intermediate and advanced dancers. Please arrive in black leotard and tights, or athletic pants and solid/plain-fitted t-shirt, bare feet. Dancers must be prepared to learn 4, 8-counts of choreography.

Dancers must be available for choreography workshops March 25 through 29 and rehearsals on Fridays in April through June. There is no audition fee nor tuition fees to participate in this community outreach project.

The company’s purpose is to provide an outlet for creativity and nurture individuality through dance. On the road to adulthood we are all faced with challenges to fit in and to be accepted. Reminding our youth that they are not alone as they navigate this road and being different makes this world a beautiful place that it is.
